Terms of Service

1. Who we are and this agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of Yo! Walk for iOS, including its companion widgets and route Live Activities (the “App”). They describe the version that counts phone steps through Core Motion. The App is operated by Guangzhou Furun Juchuang Trading Co., Ltd., under the team name Mini Go Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using the App, you agree to these Terms to the extent an agreement may be formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Our Privacy Policy explains the handling of personal information. Agreement to these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for data processing or device permissions.

Your download and license to use the App are also subject to the applicable App Store terms and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a valid separate App license applies. These Terms supplement those terms for our services and do not reduce rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Eligibility and access

You must be 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. The App is not intended for anyone under 18. Do not use it if you do not meet these requirements.

You need a compatible device and operating system. Phone-step counting requires a device that supports the relevant motion features and your Motion & Fitness permission. Route recording also requires location access with Precise Location enabled. Maps, articles, and advertising may require an internet connection. Live Activities require a supported device, system version, and system settings. You are responsible for ordinary device and connectivity costs charged by your providers.

No Yo! Walk account is required. You may use a pseudonym and skip optional profile questions. Information you choose to provide should be suitable for your own use; inaccurate weight or other settings can make estimates less useful.

3. What the App provides

Depending on the version, device, and permissions available, the App provides step summaries, daily goals, Insights, a monthly calendar heatmap, estimated distance and calories, walking challenges, recorded routes, milestones, widgets, and images you can save or share. It may also link to fitness articles.

Step summaries use permitted iPhone motion data through Core Motion. Carry your iPhone while walking for it to record steps. This version does not read or write Apple Health data through HealthKit and does not include Apple Watch steps. Tracking begins when you first open this version of the App; earlier steps and history from a previous step-data source are not imported.

Challenges estimate active walking or running time from available motion data after you join; they do not simply count how long the App is open. Route recording uses motion steps and location samples for the recording intervals you start. A finished route is added to route history only when at least 100 steps are recorded. A shorter result may remain temporarily until the next walk and should not be relied on as a permanent history entry.

Goals, challenges, and milestones are for personal motivation. A badge or milestone has no monetary value and does not entitle you to a payment, physical prize, or financial benefit.

The version covered by these Terms does not offer paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. It may display advertisements. If paid features are introduced, their price and any additional purchase terms will be presented before you make a purchase.

4. Fitness information and safety

Yo! Walk is a general wellness and activity-tracking tool. It is not a medical device or a medical service. Its content, goals, measurements, estimates, and linked articles are not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.

Calorie values are estimates based on steps and your saved weight, or a default of 50 kg if you skip weight entry. They are not direct measurements of your energy expenditure. Do not rely on them for medical treatment, medication decisions, or a medically prescribed diet.

Choose activity that is appropriate for your condition and surroundings. Seek appropriate professional advice if you have concerns about exercising. Stop if you feel unwell and obtain help when needed. The App does not monitor emergencies, contact emergency services, or supervise your activity.

Stay aware of traffic, terrain, weather, and local restrictions. Do not interact with the App in a way that distracts you from safe walking or driving. A recorded route or map is not a guarantee that a path is accessible, authorized, or safe. You do not need to complete a goal or challenge when doing so would be unsafe.

5. Measurements and availability

Step counts, distances, durations, routes, calories, and other summaries may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Results can be affected by device placement, sensor limitations, GPS reception, permissions, low-power settings, background restrictions, motion-data availability, and synchronization delays.

Core Motion provides up to seven days of recent history. Older records that the App has not saved cannot be recovered from that cache and may leave gaps. Previously saved App history is retained locally beyond that period. The App reads recent motion records when it is active again; a widget is not an independent continuous step recorder. Widgets and Live Activities follow iOS scheduling and may not update immediately. Figures in the App may differ from other products because their time ranges, devices, and estimation methods differ.

A route you start may continue recording in the background or while the screen is locked. Pausing or ending the route stops that recording. Revoked permissions, loss of an accurate location signal, system interruptions, or termination of the App can interrupt a route. Opening the map alone does not start a route recording.

We work to maintain the App but do not promise uninterrupted access, continuous background recording, immediate synchronization, or preservation of every record. Maps, articles, advertising, and other network features may be unavailable without connectivity or when an external provider changes its service.

6. Your information and permissions

Your profile, activity records, and routes are stored locally. This version does not provide a Yo! Walk account or developer-operated cloud backup. Removing the App, losing a device, or changing devices may cause data loss. Device backup and restore behavior depends on Apple and your settings; we cannot promise to recover local records.

You control optional device permissions. Withholding or revoking a permission may prevent a dependent feature from working. Stopping permission access does not automatically erase previously saved App data or system motion records. A widget or Live Activity can display activity details to someone who can see your Home Screen, Lock Screen, or Dynamic Island; manage these features through iOS.

You retain any rights you have in information and images you create or supply. Choosing to share an image instructs the App to provide it to your selected destination; it does not transfer ownership to us. Shared activity images may include profile information, achievements, or locations. You are responsible for choosing what to share and with whom.

Deleting a route removes that route’s record, but not independently recorded daily steps, challenges, or milestones. This version has no single in-app control to erase all local history; deleting the App removes its local data, while offloading it may keep data. Neither route deletion nor App deletion removes copies already saved to Photos, sent to other people, stored in backups, or processed by external services. Please review our Privacy Policy for data uses, SDK services, retention, and privacy choices.

7. Acceptable use and ownership

Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store license terms, you may use the App for your own lawful, personal purposes. The App’s software, branding, illustrations, interface, and other materials belong to us or their respective licensors, except for rights in your own information and third-party material.

You must not:

  • Use the App to break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, or share information you are not entitled to share.
  • Interfere with the App or connected services, introduce malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Manipulate advertising interactions, impersonate us, or use the App in a fraudulent or misleading manner.
  • Copy, resell, redistribute, or exploit protected App materials without authorization, or reverse-engineer the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Remove proprietary notices or required third-party attribution from App materials.

Nothing here restricts activities or rights that applicable law expressly protects.

8. Advertisements and third parties

The App may show advertisements provided through Google AdMob. Displaying an advertisement does not mean we endorse the advertiser, its claims, or its products. An advertiser’s website, purchase, or service is governed by the terms it presents. We are not the seller in a transaction between you and an independent advertiser.

The App uses Apple services and may link to external articles and websites, including Mayo Clinic articles. Those providers are responsible for their own content and services. Inclusion of a link does not create an affiliation or make third-party content personalized advice from us.

Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are enabled by default in this version to understand App usage and diagnose failures. There is no separate in-app switch for those services. Advertising privacy choices and iOS tracking permission do not by themselves turn off all analytics or crash reporting. Their processing and available privacy choices are described in the Privacy Policy. Agreeing to these Terms is not consent to tracking or a waiver of any consent required by law.

Apple is not responsible for providing our customer support. Contact us using the address below for App-related questions. Nothing in this section excludes responsibilities that applicable law places on us or a third-party provider.

9. Changes and ending use

We may update features, fix errors, change supported systems, or discontinue parts of the App for reasonable product, operational, security, or legal reasons. We will provide notice of material changes where required and, where reasonably possible, explain changes that significantly affect continued use.

We may revise these Terms. The updated date will appear above. Where required, we will give additional notice or obtain agreement before material changes take effect. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have. If you do not agree with an applicable update, you can stop using the App.

You may end your use at any time by stopping use and deleting the App. We may restrict access to services we operate, to the extent technically available and legally permitted, in response to a material breach, unlawful use, a security threat, or a legal requirement. We will provide notice where appropriate unless doing so is prohibited or would create a security risk.

Ending use does not automatically erase external copies of data. Provisions that by their nature remain relevant, including ownership, lawful limitations of liability, and dispute provisions, continue to apply.

10. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not make additional promises that it will be error-free, continuously available, suitable for every individual need, or produce particular fitness results. This does not exclude any warranty, service standard, or remedy required by law.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable consequences of our breach, or for indirect or consequential losses that the law allows us to exclude. We are not responsible for a failure caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, without limiting any duty the law places on us to address that failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer protections and available statutory remedies remain in force. If a limitation is not permitted where you live, it does not apply to you to that extent.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms apply subject to applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protections available where you habitually reside. They do not require you to give up protections that cannot be waived by agreement.

If a concern arises, you may contact us to seek an informal resolution. Doing so is not a condition for exercising a legal right or meeting a legal deadline. Unresolved disputes may be brought before a court or other body with jurisdiction under applicable law.

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will apply only to the extent legally permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue where lawful. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive the right to enforce it later.
