1. Who we are and scope
Yo! Walk (the “App”) is operated by Guangzhou Furun Juchuang Trading Co., Ltd., under the team name Mini Go Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are responsible for the personal information we process in connection with the App, including as a controller where that term applies.
This policy covers the iOS App, its companion widgets and route Live Activities, and communications with our support team. It describes the version that counts phone steps through Core Motion. It does not cover an Android version or replace the policies of Apple, Google, or other services you choose to use.
The App provides walking statistics, Insights, a calendar heatmap, activity challenges, route recording, milestones, and sharing tools. It does not offer account registration or a developer-operated cloud service for storing your health history.
2. Information used on your device
- Profile and preferences: your nickname, chosen built-in avatar, optional gender selection and weight, language, appearance, daily step goal, and onboarding choices. These personalize the App. Your nickname can be a pseudonym; we do not require your legal name. Weight is used for estimated calories. If you skip weight entry, the App uses 50 kg.
- Activity information: step summaries, dates and times, goals, estimated distance and calories, challenge records, and milestone progress. These support your dashboard, Insights, calendar, and activity history.
- Recorded walks: precise coordinates, timestamps, duration, distance, and steps collected during a route you start recording. These support the route map, history, and optional route images.
- App operation: the first-open time, permission-related state, and locally cached data needed to restore preferences and keep the App and its widgets in sync.
These records are kept in local App storage. A limited step snapshot and display preferences are shared with the App’s widgets through local storage accessible to the App and its extensions. On supported devices, a route Live Activity can show recording status, duration, distance, and steps on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Widgets and Live Activities can make this information visible to anyone who can see your screen. You can remove widgets and manage Live Activities through iOS.
Device backups and restores are managed by Apple and your device settings and may affect local App data. This is separate from a Yo! Walk cloud account or cloud-sync service, which the App does not provide.
3. Motion and fitness data
With your permission, the App reads step-count information recorded by your iPhone through Apple Core Motion. Carry your iPhone while walking for these steps to be recorded. This version does not read or write Apple Health data and does not include Apple Watch steps.
The App uses the same locally saved phone-step records for the home screen, Insights, calendar, cumulative totals, milestones, and widgets. Tracking begins when you first open this version of the App; earlier steps and history from a previous step-data source are not imported. Live updates and historical queries update the same records without adding overlapping counts twice.
Your iPhone maintains recent motion records in the background. The App reads available records when you return to it. Core Motion provides up to seven days of recent history; older records that the App has not saved may be unavailable and remain gaps. Records already saved by the App can be retained for longer. Live and widget updates may be delayed by iOS.
Walking challenges use available motion distance and active-pace information to estimate active walking or running time after you join. Route recording uses motion steps and location samples for the recording intervals you start. These features may show different durations or totals because they measure different intervals and depend on the data available from your device.
The App does not request heart rate, medical records, sleep data, or weight from Apple Health. Calorie values are estimates based on steps and your saved weight, or a default of 50 kg.
We do not sell health or fitness data, use it to target advertisements, or provide it to data brokers. We do not send motion-based activity records, your entered weight or gender, or precise recorded routes to AdMob, Firebase Analytics, or Firebase Crashlytics as event parameters, user properties, custom logs, or user identifiers. These services are not given access to our local health and route databases.
You may choose to export an activity image or include information in a support message. Such sharing is initiated by you and is described below.
4. Device permissions
- Motion & Fitness: to read daily phone steps, show activity summaries and milestones, and measure activity for challenges and recorded walks. You can manage access in iOS Settings.
- Location: requested when you open the route-recording feature. Starting or resuming a recording requires location access with Precise Location enabled. Recording can continue while the App is in the background or your screen is locked. Pausing or ending the recording stops that route’s location collection. The App does not request Always location access. Denying location access does not prevent phone-step features that have Motion & Fitness permission.
- Photos, add-only: to save an activity or milestone image when you choose to do so. This permission does not give the App access to browse your photo library.
- App Tracking Transparency: to request permission for tracking covered by Apple’s rules, where applicable to advertising. Your response is separate from Motion & Fitness and location permissions.
You may decline optional permissions and continue using features that do not depend on them. Revoking a permission stops the corresponding future access but does not automatically erase previously saved information.
5. Analytics and crash reports
Google Analytics for Firebase
We use Firebase Analytics to understand App usage and improve usability. It may process events such as App opens and session engagement, timestamps, an app-instance identifier, app or device identifiers, App and operating-system versions, device characteristics, language, and approximate location derived from network information. Advertising-identifier access depends on the SDK configuration and your iOS tracking permission.
These identifiers can distinguish an installation without your name; they should not be treated as anonymous. We do not use your nickname or email address as an Analytics user ID, or include health values or route coordinates in Analytics events. See Google’s explanation of Analytics data collection.
Firebase Crashlytics
We use Crashlytics to find and fix crashes. Reports can include stack traces, exception details, the time of a crash, App and operating-system versions, device model and technical state, and installation or session identifiers. We do not attach your profile, weight, step history, or route database to crash reports. See Firebase’s privacy information.
Collection and your choices
Analytics and crash reporting are enabled by default in this version and may begin when the App starts. The App currently has no separate in-app switch for these services. Advertising privacy choices and iOS tracking permission do not by themselves turn off all analytics or crash reporting. You can contact us using the address in section 14 to ask about this processing or exercise applicable privacy rights.
Motion & Fitness permission does not authorize advertising or analytics use of your health data. Acceptance of this policy or the Terms is not a substitute for separate consent where applicable law requires it.
6. Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob to support the service with advertisements. Its SDK may process your IP address and approximate location, advertising or other device identifiers, App and device information, ad impressions and interactions, and SDK diagnostic and performance information. This supports ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Google and advertising participants may process that information under their respective roles and policies. See AdMob’s data disclosure.
Personalized advertising depends on applicable consent requirements, available privacy choices, and iOS tracking permission. The App uses Google’s consent service to determine whether an advertising consent message is required and whether ads may be requested. When that service requires a privacy-options entry, you can revisit your choices in Me → Settings → Ad privacy settings. Contact us if you need help accessing your choices. These advertising choices are separate from permission to read motion or location data.
Refusing iOS tracking permission prevents access to the advertising identifier for tracking and does not authorize alternative methods of prohibited tracking. It does not by itself turn off every SDK or all data collection. Depending on other consent choices and applicable rules, limited or non-personalized advertisements may still be available.
We do not provide health, fitness, profile gender or weight, or precise route data for advertising. For more information about Google’s handling of information, read the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner apps.
8. Purposes and legal bases
We process information to provide features you request, maintain the App, respond to support requests, understand usage, diagnose problems, deliver permitted advertising, and meet legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for processing that requires it, including access to sensitive health information and applicable advertising or analytics processing; performance of our agreement for requested services; legitimate interests in proportionate support, security, and reliability where permitted and balanced against your rights; and compliance with law. Where special protection applies to health data, the required additional condition, such as explicit consent, must also be met. We do not treat acceptance of the Terms as consent to every type of data processing.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. We do not use your health information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
9. Retention and deletion
- Local records: profile settings, saved phone-step records, challenges, milestones, and routes remain in App storage until removed through an available deletion control or by deleting the App. The App does not provide an account or a single in-app control to erase all local history. Deleting a route removes that route’s record; it does not erase independently recorded daily steps, challenges, or milestones. A finished route enters route history only when at least 100 steps are recorded. A shorter result may remain temporarily on the device until the next walk. Offloading an App may retain its documents and data.
- Generated images: replaceable sharing images are cached on the device and may be removed by cache cleanup or iOS. Images you save to Photos or share outside the App remain until you or the recipient removes them.
- Analytics: retention depends on the applicable Google Analytics property settings and Google’s deletion processes. User- and event-level retention settings do not apply in the same way to aggregate reports. We limit retention to what is reasonably needed for the stated purposes. See Google Analytics retention controls.
- Crash reports: Google describes a 90-day retention period for crash traces and associated identifiers before it begins removing them from live and backup systems.
- Advertising data: Google and other participating advertising providers retain information according to their roles, applicable policies, and needs such as ad measurement, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Support and legal records: we retain correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, related follow-up, security issues, and applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. We consider the sensitivity of the information, the purpose, and whether a dispute is pending.
Deleting the App does not delete system motion records, images in Photos, copies you shared, device backups, or information already processed by external providers. Manage those separately through the relevant service or privacy request. Revoking Motion & Fitness access does not erase records already saved by the App.
10. Your choices and rights
You can skip optional profile fields, use a pseudonym, manage Motion & Fitness, location, and Photos permissions through iOS Settings, pause or end route recording, delete saved routes, and decide whether to save or share images. Manage tracking permission under the relevant iOS Privacy & Security settings and revisit advertising choices through Me → Settings → Ad privacy settings when that entry is available. These controls do not erase existing local records or automatically disable all analytics and crash reporting described in section 5.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; appeal a decision about a privacy request; or complain to a competent privacy authority. You will not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell your health or route records. Disclosure of certain device identifiers and advertising interactions to advertising providers may qualify as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even without payment for the data. These rights are separate from the protection given to health information.
To exercise an applicable right, withdraw consent, or ask about available privacy controls, email minimaxtechteam@gmail.com. Describe the request without sending unnecessary health information. We may need limited information to verify your request and locate relevant records, and will respond within applicable legal time limits. An authorized agent may contact us where permitted by law.
Because we do not maintain a named cloud account or a copy of your local health history, we cannot remotely retrieve or erase device-only records. We can explain how to manage them locally. Requests involving SDK data may require information identifying the relevant App installation; we will explain any identification limits and available next steps.
11. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and rely on iOS protections for local App storage. No device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and review what is included before sharing an activity image or support attachment.
Information sent to service providers may be processed outside the place where you live. Google operates international infrastructure, and the location depends on the service. Where required, transfers must use an applicable lawful mechanism and appropriate safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your request.
12. Age restriction
Yo! Walk is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children or anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18 through our services. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate deletion or other corrective steps. Device-only information may need to be removed on that device.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our features, service providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice, and obtain fresh consent, when required. A policy update alone does not authorize a new use of sensitive information that requires your consent.
