ClapSound Privacy Policy

Effective date:

1. About this policy

ClapSound is operated by Guangzhou Furun Juchuang Trading Co., Ltd. under the brand Mini Go Studio ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use ClapSound for iOS and iPadOS.

The App is for adults aged 18 and over and is intended for distribution in supported App Store regions outside mainland China. You do not need to create a ClapSound account to use the App.

2. Information used on your device

Microphone and Clap Mode

Clap Mode uses your microphone after you enable listening and grant permission. Audio is processed on your device to recognize clap-like sounds. Microphone audio is held briefly in memory for analysis; we do not save it as recordings, upload it to our servers, or send it to advertising providers. Listening may continue with the screen locked or the App in the background while the feature is active and iOS allows it. You can stop listening in the App or revoke microphone permission in iOS Settings.

Motion and Touch Mode

Touch Mode uses motion sensors to detect movement, rotation, and tilt after you turn it on. Raw motion readings are processed on your device and are not sent to us or advertising providers. Leaving its screen does not turn monitoring off. Detection in the background or with the screen locked depends on iOS and may pause. The App checks motion data and may recalibrate when you return. Enabled, movement-detected, and disabled events are stored locally; system interruptions and resumptions are not recorded as history events.

Local settings and files

The App stores preferences, favorites, playback and Find Phone event history, selected sounds, downloaded audio and images, trimmed clips, and alarm records locally. This lets the App remember your choices and provide its features. Detection status, audio levels, and errors may also appear in local device diagnostics; these are not microphone recordings.

When you configure a widget, selected sound files and settings are shared locally between the App and its widget extension. Notifications, Live Activities, and widgets may display sound names or activity status on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. With your permission, supported devices use Apple's alarm services to handle alarm schedules and sounds.

If you export or share a sound, the destination you choose receives that file and handles it under its own rules. Using the flashlight for an alert does not take photos or record video.

3. Downloads and technical information

Loading online sounds, cover images, ads, or linked pages makes network requests. The servers handling those requests receive your IP address, the requested resource, and basic request information such as time and device or software details. Hosting providers may keep ordinary access and error logs to deliver content, troubleshoot problems, and protect their services.

Catalog requests include the App identifier and version, a randomly generated installation identifier stored on your device, the number of App launches, and a mobile country code field (currently sent as unknown). The installation identifier is not your Apple Account or advertising identifier.

To understand sound popularity and provide popular sound lists, the App also sends batches of sound interaction events with those same request details. Events identify a sound and its category when a Home Sound Library selection opens its playback page, when a sound first starts playing during a visit to its playback page, or when you tap a phone-ringtone or alarm-ringtone action. These events do not contain microphone recordings, raw motion readings, or locally trimmed audio files. Ringtone events indicate a button tap, not confirmation that a ringtone or alarm was successfully set.

ClapSound uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve reliability. These services may process app-instance or installation identifiers, app interactions, app and operating system versions, device information, and crash stack traces. We do not send microphone recordings or raw motion readings to these services. See Firebase's privacy and security information and Google's Privacy Policy. Advertising services may also process usage and diagnostic data as described below.

4. Purchases and support

Apple processes purchases through the App Store. The App receives product identifiers, transaction information, subscription expiration dates, and entitlement status to unlock paid features and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details or Apple Account password.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your request and resolve problems. Please do not send payment passwords or other information that is not needed for support.

5. Advertising and consent

ClapSound uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK for ads. Google may collect IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, crash logs, and performance information. This supports ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement. See Google's Privacy Policy and its Mobile Ads data disclosure.

We use Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission process and Google's User Messaging Platform for applicable consent requests. We do not access the IDFA for tracking without your authorization. Declining tracking does not prevent use of core App features, and ads may still appear subject to your consent choices and applicable requirements.

You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. Tracking permission and advertising consent are separate choices. Use the choices in any consent message presented to you, and contact us for help with consent questions or withdrawal requests. Your microphone audio and raw motion readings are not provided to ad services.

6. When information is shared

Information is used to run App features, deliver content, manage premium access, display and measure ads, understand app usage, diagnose crashes, provide support, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. The main external services are Apple for purchases and system features, Google for ads, consent, analytics, and crash diagnostics, and hosting services for online content.

We require providers processing information on our behalf to use it only for agreed purposes and provide protection at least equivalent to this policy and applicable requirements. Apple and Google also handle information under their own policies for services they provide directly. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information we hold when legally required, to address fraud or security issues, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate privacy protections and notice where required. We do not sell microphone audio or raw motion data. Some advertising practices may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain privacy laws.

7. Keeping and deleting information

Local settings and records remain until you remove them using available App controls, they are replaced, or you delete the App. Cached files may be removed automatically. Before deleting the App, remove unwanted alarms in My Alarms. Exported files, system-managed information, and device backups may remain separately and can be managed through the relevant app or Apple settings. Offloading the App is not the same as deleting its data.

Support records and service logs are kept only as needed for support, operation, security, or legal obligations. Apple and Google set retention periods for information they control. You can email us to request deletion of information we hold; we may need to retain limited records where the law requires it. We cannot remotely access or delete files stored only on your device. Deleting the App does not cancel an App Store subscription.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can stop detection in the App, manage available microphone, motion, notification, alarm, and tracking permissions in iOS Settings, remove widgets, and manage subscriptions through your Apple Account. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising or legally defined sale or sharing. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact us to make a request; we may need reasonable information to verify it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

Where European or similar privacy rules apply, we rely on providing the service you request, consent where required, legitimate interests such as reliability and security, and legal obligations. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Our company and service providers may process information outside your country, including in China, the United States, or other countries where they operate. Where required, appropriate contractual or other lawful safeguards apply to international transfers.

10. Users under 18

ClapSound is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from under-18 users. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and delete information under our control as appropriate.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when our practices or requirements change. The date above shows the latest version. We will provide additional notice or ask for consent when required for a significant change.
